21st December 2005
Another crazy day. There were a ton of emails waiting for my attention at work today and it seemed like I still had a lot on my mind, coordinating and preparing for our trip to Michigan. I did get my car back today, later than originally expected, but earlier than they said the second time. This should give me some time to drive it and see if anything is wrong.
I came home early enough so Sarah and I could leave at a decent time to go to the faculty party at the Reno’s. When I got home I took out the last of our 40 some bags of leaves to the curb. I also dropped off my old Huffy big at Bob Evans for a Freecycler to pick up and hopefully get some use out of. It was time to hang up my bike for the year with 650 miles total I think that was a real good first year with my two injuries in there as well.
The party was fun like always, and I feel more at home with everyone there, that there is some history now with this being our third Christmas here. We ended up with a cool little glass angel ornament and some very minute screwdrivers that will come in handy. When we got home, I got things ready for tomorrow and Sarah just chilled out. She deserves it for how crazy busy she’s been and running around. I just did the dishes so she wouldn’t worry about that, burned some software on CD, gathered up the recyclables, before I called it a night. I will miss our light snow here, but I am sure Sarah will be thrilled to be right in the middle of the flurry ridden state of Michigan. Here we come, ya-freekin-hoo.
