Today when I got up I felt like I had been hit by a mac truck, I was so tempted to just stay home but I didn’t. I don’t think I have missed a day of work all year for sickness, it would be nice to keep that a perfect streak, and besides, you always feel better after a shower and moving around than the moment you step out of bed.
I didn’t get done what I had hoped at home. I sat down to relax for a little bit, and next thing I know it’s like 3:30 in the morning and I am asleep on the couch.
Sarah went to Advent service again tonight, her kids were leading the service. The different grades rotate week by week each year, and this was her week.
I was productive enough to wash some of the dishes and…find a little software tool that I thought would be useful. It’s an on screen hexadecimal color picker. So if I see some color on a website and go, gosh, that is nice, I just grab the picker and highlight it and it gives me a six digit code telling me what it is. The program is called Colormania, and I hope it helps me with the current projects I am working on at both work and home.

Just got done with the freelance for the night. I feel a lot better, my headache is gone now and so is the anxiety. At least until tomorrow, and that is a whole new day of possibilities.
We went and saw Flight Plan tonight. I liked it, it was good and different, but don’t think I’d watch it again. We got some Pizza Hut, which was a nice change. Did some teaching at Walker today, which didn’t help my headache or sore throat, but it still was fun, especially to talk to the kids about the tech fair from last week and their thoughts on the whole thing.
Sarah is still trying to catch up on sleep from the other night, she still feels tired and went to bed soon after the movie was done. She did some calling around today about the car, and now our dishwasher appears to be on its last leg, so who knows. Like I said, just a lot of worries right now.

We had an eventful weekend, good and bad.
Friday night was good. Eric and Jessica came over and Sarah made a beef stir fry (a first attempt away from chicken). Dinner was great, and we had a ton of fun. The Batman Uno came out, as well as many rounds of uker, and drinks were all around. Eric started early so he could be the DD, and by the end of the night we were all pretty silly.
Saturday morning started like any other after a night of drinking. I woke up about 7:30, steaming hot, barely able to breathe, slightly achy and still tired. I got up, had some water, did some surfing for about a half hour, and headed back to bed. When I got up at about 10 am, Sarah was gone.
I worked on freelance stuff and other for most of the day, and was pretty productive. I did some ideation for expanding my desk and did a fun little vector drawing on what my office could look like expanded. Sarah didn’t get home until about 6 that night and she was in quite a weird funk. She had been Christmas shopping most of the day, and looking tired and about ready to cry when she got home. Come to find out, she was just bummed that our house didn’t look much like Christmas. So, two and half hours left the house was a nice shade of red and no ledge was left without some sort of ceramic cutie thing, rosie cheeked santas, animals, you name it, it was flashing and being adorable. But she got really cute after everything got set up, and that was what was important.
I kept working, and then we finished off the night watching some tv, including Saturday Night Live with a pretty funny comedian or something hosting, his opening monologue was hilarious.
Sunday we were a little social after church, we talked with Wes and Kate, Eric, and the Johnsons. It is so much easier to be social in the new church edition, it isn’t crowded and it is easy to get around with huge hallways and just all over inviting.
I got to work when I got home, listened to the first half of the Colts game, then we watched the second half on tv. I fell asleep for a little bit towards the end and during the end of the Bengals game. Justin woke me up with a phone call and we talked for a little bit, then it was back to work until…
About 8:15 I get a call and Sarah has been rear ended by some jerkoff just on the main road by our house. To make a long very frustrating night short, we waiting for about 2:30 hours in the freezing cold, through robberies and drunk drivers getting hauled away in cuffs for an officer to make it to the scene and take a report. I had some work to finish up when I got home, so I worked diligently at that, and then I don’t think either of us got to bed until after 2:30. She was very upset, and I am a touch sick, so we made quite a pair.
So tonight I am making it an early night because tomorrow will have to be a long one. Tonight we ate dinner together and talked, watched Two and a Half men, and I did some loose ends work. The X-Men 3 trailer came out tonight. Looks pretty awesome, but could be total junk as well. You can never tell when the director’s only credits are “Rush Hour”. That isn’t exactly the same type of movie.
