Help writing posts for this arcade blog

I do a lot of research and idea generation for this arcade game blog, but as with any discipline I can’t write about every topic knowledgeably because I just don’t know about every aspect about arcade games.

If you have ever wanted to write / start your own website about your arcade game collection, this might be the opportunity for you. Either you can write about whatever you want, or as you will see I will list some article ideas for topics that I would like written about some of these games. (more…)

15 most valuable classic arcade games

Back in June I had this idea, what are the most valuable arcade games? If there was a list of the 10 most valuable arcade games, what would they be and what would the prices be? The more I researched, I could hardly narrow my list down to just 10 arcade games, so I ended up with a final list of 15.

This list is highly subjective, one rare valuable arcade game is worth some amount to one collector and a different value to another collector. I will try to explain my criteria for this top fifteen list of most valuable arcades so read on.

Great Mr. Do! Cabinet Portland Craigslist

Wow, I totally missed a deal. A Mr. Do! on Craigslist in Portland on Sunday with an asking price of $50. It sold in 15 minutes (not surprisingly), but even that asking price seems really low especially for the condition the game appeared to be in from the photo.

Edit your WordPress theme – Headers

Some of you out there really want to start your own arcade game blog, but are clueless about web design and therefore don’t understand how to customize the look of your own WordPress website. There are plenty of tutorials out on the internet on how to make your own WordPress theme, sifting through the good ones might be a challenge. Regardless of that fact, I don’t feel the need to rewrite them because customizing your theme is a time investment no matter what you do. You need to learn HTML, CSS and understand the purpose of each html file in the theme.

However, just about any themes out there typically can look like a completely unique website by just adding your own header graphic. I am going to show you how to edit the header in your newly downloaded WordPress theme to add your own custom designed banner graphic. (more…)
