We’re moved in!

So much space, I feel like a fly in a refrigerator box. Both sets of parents came down this past weekend and some help from others, namely Christine, helped us destroy the boxes and we were mostly moved in by Sunday morning. We still have those random boxes here and there, but 85% of everything else is put away.

It was a really fun weekend. We ate a whole bunch of food, donuts from Long’s, Pizza, Apple Crisp, we did some improvements on the house from fixing some doors, to putting on longer drain spouts from the eaves troughs to putting in a brand new microwave from my parents in the kitchen.

That was a trip. The Dad’s had to go and get a plug to install with the loose wires left from the range and then we had to take out the cupboards and move it up to make the microwave fit. Then, we needed some small boards for installation, so I went over and met my neighbor on the east side of me and asked to borrow his saw and some wood.

I have a ton of photos, and I am sure I will try to put some up, but I have ran into a hiccup of sorts. I figured out late Saturday night that the phone jack in the basement doesn’t work. Long story short, I don’t have even dial up at home anymore, and I signed up for DSL from SBC, so I need to get this problem fixed asap. So I can’t do my blog from home. It sounds like Brent McClarnon from Esystems is going to come over on Wednesday and take a look at it. He has built whole houses before so we should be able to take care of the wiring.
