1st April 2006

We got up at a decent time, I went to the gym for a hard workout and Sarah went to the grocery store for food and drinks for tonight.

The house needed some work, so Sarah took care of that, and I had a lot of stuff to do for the church, and for the Lutheran Federation Website, so I pretty much worked the rest of the day on something until about 7 or so.

Right on time at 7, Kim and Brian showed up, no trouble finding the place, nothing. Sarah made a fun dinner, a good topic for discussion, a Mexican “make it yourself” fest, with Tacos, White Chili, and Enchiladas. Nothing like messy food to break open the conversation floodgates.

From there we played some cards with some run and cokes and some beers. I don’t remember specifics about why, but for most of the night we played sequence, 15 games to be exact. The guys were losing big time and couldn’t catch up, and we had our egos on the line, getting bunch by a couple of tipsy girls. We never did, funny how we got dumber as the night went on and the girls didn’t have any problem. It was just a ton of fun, Kim is really cool and laid back and Brian is hilarious, and we both like baseball, which is hard to find. They didn’t end up leaving until about 3, which maybe was 2 am, maybe it was 4, at that point figuring out the time change (the first time in Indiana) was a little too difficult for me.
