Wow, I think I typed everyday last month, pretty cool.
We got up early enough to get to bible class before church this morning with my parents. After church was done, we left to get home and have some time together before they had to leave. Right away Dad and I tried to figure out what to do with the lawn tools organizer we got yesterday. I decided to take down the little shelf to the left of the door and put it there in place.
We took a short break to have a very good roasted chicken for lunch and then went back outside and got the organizer hung. Sarah and Mom worked on Sarah’s Trac phone that she got for her birthday, activating it and getting it all set-up. We got all of the tools hung, the organizer worked really well, and we used two of the brackets from the shelf to hang up the hill-billy golf on the wall as well.
Soon enough it was 2:00, and my parents had to leave to make the long trip back.
After they left, I went in the back yard and finished putting down the rest of the Scott’s yard treatment. It was pretty muggy, so I came inside for a little while and worked on the computer. Sarah wanted to do something outside, so we went out and played some hill billy golf since she hadn’t tried it just yet and I had played a couple of weeks back with the guys. We took a short intermission because I remembered when I was spreading the lawn stuff that I had found the top of what I assumed was a large rock.
We went to dig it out, the rock must have been a foot around, it was huge. After I tossed it over the fence, we had to get some dirt to fill in the gaping hole out back.
We played one more game, then decided to go down and take a look at the puppies at Petsmart. We felt strong and confident enough that it was time. There were only three dogs there, it was really sad, two of them older, and all three not really our type, so we just came back. We spent the next hour looking around online at different dogs around the area shelters.
Then we sat down together and watched “Heroes” for the most of the rest of the night. Her parents called and we ate and talked to them for a bit, but we got through a number of episodes. There were a million other things I could have done today, but I felt like I really needed to completely relax, together, to get recharged and ready for another week.
