I got into work late, I didn’t feel so great. Then my boss let me out early, so I am going to make sure to make up those hours the last two days this week.

After work, for the second day in a row, I took a run around the block. Then I ran out to get some groceries for dinner because Wes and Kate were coming over to hang out.

After dinner, the girls went down to meet Kim for their book study. They were gone for quite awhile, almost until 10. Wes and I watched Dave Barry’s Guide to Guys movie, it was ok, not nearly as funny as his books. Then we played a ton of cornhole out front. Wes is the only guy who can challenge me, if not beat me consistently at the game, tonight, 4 games to 2.

We played one or two games in tandem with the girls out front, it was getting late, so the tiki torches came in handy. We kept the dog outside, he did pretty good, but he did have some crazy stints when the next door neighbors started to light off a ton of fireworks. I think that everyone forgot that tomorrow is actually the fourth. Our street was insane with how much stuff was going on.

We finished off the night out back. It took me a little time, but I got a nice fire going. Everyone else kept drinking wine and rum and cokes, I wasn’t really in the mood, so it was fun for me to watch them get sillier and goofier. We busted out the marsh mellows and the chocolate and had some smores, that was fun too. Soon after the fire died down and we went to bed.
