8th August 2005

Last night ended up being a bust, I passed out for about an hour and a half in front of the tv. But there was an upside. Justin called and we talked and exchanged some recent photos on Hello and Picasa online.

Today, not a good day. I couldn’t explain it at first, but I had reasons why at the end of the day, the worst one being the seemingly sweet dog we are babysitting until Thursday. Thursday can’t come quick enough.

Sarah called earlier in the day to let me know that the dog had gotten out when she was gone earlier. Pancha (dog) is a big dog, part lab and part husky supposedly, and Sarah had only put up the gate in the bathroom instead of closing the door risking a trashed door and an angry dog. Overall this dog is really timid, it spent most of Sunday running away from us, pacing around the house, and in general being very afraid. But, now it can do that outside for the rest of the week. When I got home the house was trashed. He had gotten into the trash and chewed it all up and gotten meat juice on the carpet. He had just totally wrecked the blockade Sarah put up to keep him nicely in the bathroom, putting a dent in our drywall, and leaving pieces of toilet paper all over the place.

I tried to not be upset, picked up the mess, and realized that this is probably a little lesson coming from God that we may want to think about the size of dog that we get. I had thought huge, bigger than this one originally. Now, I am not so sure. He got up on the counter and pulled food down and chewed it up, and got all over our front window sills and just destroyed them, they look terrible.

So yeah me, welcome home.

There was something cool that I found out at work today. Macromedia Studio 8 has been announced. From what I could tell, Freehand was not in it and I am not surprised. But there are a ton of cool new features in Fireworks, Flash, and Dreamweaver. I am looking forward to that a ton, and hope to write about it more before it’s released in mid September and everything officially becomes Adobe property.

Tonight I posted Christine’s awesome sketch she got at the Charlotte Comic Convention in June. I felt terrible, she sent it to me the day after, and I didn’t file it right, so I forgot all about it. Well, later than never I guess.
