9th April 2006

We got up pretty early, got ready, and left the house with enough time to stop at Long’s Donuts and then make a stop and pick up a couple of small hard drives that I got through free cycle.

Church seemed really slow today, the pace of the songs, everything didn’t seem to be as upbeat as I would really think Palm Sunday to be. We saw some of our friends after church, and that pushed our day into hyper drive even more because when we got back home we hurried up, packed, ate, and headed back out just before 1:30 to the downtown area to go Duckpin Bowling.

This was the Revive event for April, and it had a pretty good turnout, probably 20 plus including John, Brian and Kim, Paula, Chris, Jeff & Sarah v.2 Jeanie and Jake. Duckpin bowling is with a softball size bowling ball and half size more round pins. It is really hard to know down a whole bunch at a time, and the ball can just run through one line of pins without touching the others. But it was a ton of fun, and I don’t know if it was just because it was different, but it seems more fun then regular bowling. I got the whole group to sing to Sarah’s birthday and embarass her a little bit, fun fun.

We finished up the afternoon with a short bible study, and then we left, saying our goodbyes to Justin and Jennifer. Then Sarah and I headed downtown, got some money, and hurried down to the corner of Maryland and Illinois. There waiting for us was our ride, a carriage and horse for our sunny, romantic tour of downtown Indy, it was calm, relaxing, and it allowed us time to just look at all the buildings from a different perspective, especially the two new ones that are both close to completion.

After we got home, we were on the phone for the rest of the night, with Eric, my parents, her parents, my sister, and others. We finished the night out with some pizza and some time on the couch, the weekend went fast, and we look forward to a slower paced week.
