Early morning, as we said. Sarah got up, made some calls, and made the final decision that she was going to take Nokes to enroll him in the six week doggie training school in Beech Grove. I already had plans, I was going down to the Super Auction at the fairgrounds.
I got down there without issue, however, there was no one there. I was pissed. I walked all over the fairgrounds, I called Robert, and he ended up going back to his house to find out that it had been postponed. Oh boy. People came from over 90 miles away, and if it was postponed, it wasn’t posted until late Friday night at the earliest.
Robert said the two guys that came down from Fort Wayne were going to hang out at his place and play games. I said no initially, but then decided that I should go and meet some other collectors. I had met the one guy before, just not formally introduced. His name is Scott, and he has a lot of games. I also met Nathan, small world, he is going to Concordia in Fort Wayne to become a pastor. I beat my own score by 60,000 points in Galaga, and go to level 34 or something like that. Pretty weird. I have the top three scores on his machine now, I feel a little bad. The top being 260,000 something.
I got back just after noon. Christine had come back to the house. She had dropped off Lady just after Sarah got back so Nokes and she could get a little more acquainted. They were running around out back, jumping and playing on each other, so that was good. We’ll get them more time together next weekend on a walk I think.
After Christine left, we just hung out. I ate lunch and finished watching the movie from last night. Sarah rested on the couch, it wasn’t too hot upstairs and I headed out to mow the back lawn. I got inside just after 3, and I went downstairs and did a lot of emailing. I sent out about 10 emails concerning arcade stuff, some replies that I hadn’t gotten to in the week. I also researched a little on placing some ads in the smaller local papers, and I was contacting some new people about Mappy stuff. Was emailing back and forth about Joe Magiera in Chicago about a guy selling a Noah’s Ark up there. The Moppet Video game, rare, and quite the interesting story so I was trying to figure out if he was going to get it. I would like to see one in person.
Sarah and I spent some time together. We played frisbee out back and played some cornhole. It was a nice relaxing night, I loved it. Later on I did some testing on the Space Invaders finally based off the instructions that were sent to me from the repair guy. I did some surfing with the thought, today I am going to relax and tomorrow I am going to dedicate to working. Later on I went out and got another free movie from Family Video, The Painted Veil. That was kind of a hassle, I went to one location, and they were particular about the free coupon, so I had to go to another one. The movie was good, but very sad.
