Homesite Installation and first impressions
The first time I used this program was today. Installation was easy, but I left the toolbars for asp, cfml, and asp, unchecked as I won’t be editing any of those files types. I do not understand why this editor lacks an ftp protocol. What would the thought be behind leaving that out? Because macromedia knows that Dreamweaver will screw up some document types that aren’t native to the program, specifically XML files?
I was editing the config files in Homesite the other day, the first time I had used the program, but was not able to see all file types in the browser window. That can be set for any sort of files, mostly ones that are rich text format that you want to edit, by either right clicking on “name†and setting the “filter†to “all files†or go up to the options menu, and click settings. In this menu it is possible to the file types and the default editor for that type
