Pinball

Got the Hyperball working

After a 10 day wait that saved me $5, my replacement interlock switch arrived at Meunier last Friday. I was glad I got off early to go pick it up, because when I popped it in my Hyperball worked just fine. (more…)

Illinois Pinball Warehouse – Pinball plastic molds & parts

Ah to pick Gene Cuningham’s brain for a good long weekend. I’ve love to have an in depth story about the circumstances and the work involved in buying out the remnants of Bally / Williams back in the 90’s. Maybe soon, but for now it’s the old primrose path. A little while ago I got a hold of some photos showing off some of the molds that James of Pinball Inc. is hoping to use to reproduce plastics for some of our most beloved machines. (more…)

Problems still with my Hyperball pinball

This weekend Chris was down for a visit and I had rented a trailer for him to bring down some games, so it was the perfect time to go and pick up this pinball. (more…)

My take on a Hyperball shooter modification

Apparently it is a common thing to see the tip of the shooter smashed, and sometimes slanted which can in turn scratch the myriad of balls and destroy the playfield. A pinball collector by the name of Ed Cheung has a webpage on modifying the shooter, but leaves out a couple of things that I think could be helpful. (more…)

Video playback of my now working Hyperball

I just had to share this. Within a short time, and with minimal effort the Hyperball that I brought home on Thursday night is now up and running. Not everything is perfect, I still need to find a blown fuse probably for the backglass lights, but I now have a working pinball in my possession. (more…)

The ever common, mouse infested pinball machine!

It pays to have a great network of coin-op collectors locally that will help you out in finding great deals on arcade and pinballs machines. In theory this may have been a good deal, a Free pinball machine on Craigslist, but there was a little bit of a problem…. (more…)
