Single and Double Quotes – Copy and Paste from Dreamweaver to WordPress

Last week when I was having the major issues with bad characters that was causing my server to overload, I guessed that it was because of corrupted characters.

But I know after tonight, it has to do with single and double quotes that I copied and pasted out of Dreamweaver.

The quotes aren’t the same in “Design” view as they are when you paste them into a “Write Post” textarea in WordPress. Now, you might be able to copy the HTML encoding for quotes, but this is not what I was doing.

So, …

Tempest Sold!

It reminds me a little bit of my trip to Nashville. That next weekend I sold off what I got.

Today I sold the Tempest cabinet for $50. Not an outstanding price, but a fair price for someone and it helps it move. I didn’t get that much attention in 12 hours, and it is going to someone who really loved the game growing up. It sounds like this guy is going to make it into a Mame machine, but mostly preserve it. He has some great woodworking skills, so he …

Tetris Cabinet

The fourth of four cabinets I got today.

This was a cabinet I saw in Tim’s garage when we met in December. When we started to discuss this trade, I suggested this game. I was remembering for some reason that it had a monitor, but it doesn’t. But, pop in a monitor and a PCB, and it should work. I do love Tetris, I debated on whether or not I would keep it based on the space and the fact that I could just get Tetris in …

Food Fight Cabinet

The third of four arcade cabinets I got today.

Once Tim posted this in his first group of arcade cabinets he was selling, I expressed an interest to him. In the past couple of months I have learned some things about the game, like it’s relation to Quantum and the low production numbers. I have always loved the shape of the cab and, of course, the colorful sideart as well. The gameplay is fun to boot, so until I found out the rarity I didn’t really realize the value of a Food Fight.

Xevious Cabinet

The second of four cabinets I got today.

It was the same story with this cabinet. As you can see, it was converted a while back into the loathsome Capcom Bowling and Tim said it was mine if I came and got it, but the cost of getting there with a truck or something else that isn’t mine always outweighed the worth.

Here are some photos of the cab.

Xevious Cabinet Right Angled

Tempest Arcade Cabinet

This Tempest cabinet is one of four I got today in my Frenzy trade.

Ever since I first met Tim Hill last December, we have been emailing about this Tempest cabinet. He said it was mine if I came and got it, but the cost of getting there with a borrowed truck or other transportation always outweighs the worth. It was empty, and just sitting around taking up space for him. So, we finally worked out this deal where I would trade him a non working but complete …

Scrubs has a lot more character development then I thought

On the way home from work we played delivery people. We dropped off a bunch of Pampered chef stuff to friends who ordered it.

When I got home, I had a call I had to make to a contact that took about an hour.

Then we had some dinner, and I popped in a DVD. The first disc of the first season of Scrubs came in the mail tonight from Blockbuster and I wanted to try to watch all of it. It is a lot of episodes to watch in one night, …
