Dig Dug PCB went to garbage

Well. It has been another month.

Last month right after my brother in law and I looked at the Dig Dug, I listed it on ebay. I did some small final touches, screwed the audio board into the inside of the cabinet to secure it and glued the broken cone button back together.

Someone local to Indy won the game, and was going to pick it up on a Saturday. It worked fine on Thursday, but then about a half hour before the guy was to come by to pickup the game, I turned it on to get it warmed up to show him. Well, I got garbage on the screen. I about crapped my pants. So, I had to tell the guy how sorry I was, and that it really did work a couple of days ago, but hoped he would understand that I couldn’t sell it to him.

So, finally last night, after a long frustrating month, I decided to take a look again at the RAM error I was getting on the Dig Dug PCB to start researching the problem. I get garbage on the monitor, and then after a while it flashes RAM OL & OH.

I am hoping that there is something wrong with the audio board / power supply that is something easy to fix, or maybe it is this legendary big blue cap on the power supply that always causes weird problems. I don’t know yet, but I just know that if I have to get this board repaired, or find a new one, I might have this game until the end of the year.

Fortunately, the guy was really great about it all. He said he would still be interested if I got it working again.

Finished Movies, onto Galleries

There were a ton of entries, the system counted 231 entries alone for movies. And that is how many movies I have watched in two and a half years. If I think about it too hard, I get really depressed.

Hopefully before the end of next week I can start and finish the galleries section, move onto the holes in the arcade posts, and then finally start customizing the site to how I want it to look.

Nokes likes to eat Sarah’s toys

I have noticed this in the past, but lately in particular. When Sarah isn’t home, and her office is open, Nokes will go in there, find something, and drag it out into the living room to chew on it. He is mommies puppy for sure, so I don’t know if this is an anxiety thing until she gets home, or what…But today he go Eigor the keychain plush, and her Huge Tequila foam hat while I was on the phone.

Pretty cute, I wonder if he smells her and that helps.

“Dark Knight” Chicago filming completed

Heath Ledger as The Joker in The Dark Knight
According to a couple of sources, including “Batman On Film”, the filming of The Dark Knight in Chicago has wrapped. They finished sometime in early September, don’t really have the time or the inclination to search for an exact date.

Kind of bummed. I had intentions to get up there to try to see something from afar, but the cost of gas kept me home. I will always probably be “I wish I would’ve”. I was kind of hoping to tie a trip to Chicago to try to catch Dark Knight filming with a couple of others things:) But they didn’t shoot long enough.

Well, now I guess I’ll just have to look forward to December for the trailer. It should be attached to Will Smith’s “I Am Legend”.

The Glob Kickplate - Frog
As I had written already, I finished The Glob enemy – Frog last weekend, but I wanted to post a progress pic here.

WordPress Development Progress – Movies, Agent X artwork added

Got through adding in movies G-L, and I also added in the 20+ posts yesterday for my Agent X artwork development section. I forget how many posts are still left in the Arcade stuff. But at least I am close to half way with the movie posts, that is a huge section.

Jr. Pac-man truck progress update

The Jr. Pac-man truck is now in Pittsburgh. I was blown away, it was like they totally skipped the last leg of the course up the coast.

Rick met with Troy last night, and they were talking about how to pack up the Jr. Pac. But, come to find out, Troy is going to be going to NY and NJ and then he will come back through PA to pick up the other games. So, I think I have another 4-5 days before he is back in PA. Maybe not that long…

They did have some space issues, and are renting temporary storage units. What a costly, amazing trip for this truck. But the time is nearing, a week from today I may have my Jr. Pac-man in the basement.
