An arcade flipper in Minnesota shared a photo of a nearly empty Puckman this week that led to some discussion on the cabinets that were used by Namco were strikingly similar to cabinets used by another Japanese company – Karateco.

Cool artwork by SACOA in Argentina
Earlier this year a photo showing a reproduction Galaga marquee caught my eye that was shared by a woman based in Argentina. The marquee was reminiscent of the original but had a local flavor, and was just one of dozens that had been produced locally for a number of well-known games from the 80’s.
I purchased three of these Argentinian marquees (including the Galaga) that arrived in the mail today. Here is a little bit about my experience.

It’s always been unusual for Universal’s earlier titles to surface, complete and in reasonable condition. In the past month there have been a slew of Universal games that have changed hands and been shared within one of the collecting groups on Facebook. Today – it’s a quick photo post showing off a Magical Spot that changed hands that is still in marvelous condition.
