Arcade Artwork
The artwork has always been the big draw for me in the classic games. It wasn’t just about the game itself, but the feel and presentation – the bright colors and the flat shapes of artwork that beautiful in their simplicity and are classic in design. I know a lot of collectors feel that same way, and will go to great lengths to preserve it.
This section of Rotheblog is dedicated to the artwork that I am either reproducing, collecting, or want to collect because it is rare and hasn’t been reproduced just yet. I hope to be the first person to vector most of the pieces of arcade game art listed here.
Want to vectorize your own artwork?
I have written a number of one off articles talking about the different processes or prepping artwork for printing. You can learn a lot about what is involved in a project just by carefully reading through one game section within this artwork area of the site.
Arcade artwork that has been vectored
The project listed below are either personal projects or projects that I have done on contract. For the projects that are mine I am free to do with the artwork what I please and may be open to a trade of some sort. But there is a ton of work wrapped up in each piece of artwork, therefore I don’t typically just hand out artwork for free. The distribution of any piece of vector artwork that I did under contract is the decision of the original client. If you are interested in owning a copy make sure you contact them. If that person isn’t listed underneath the category, shoot me an email and I can tell you who contracted me for that particular project.
Interested in getting your own piece of artwork reproduced and want to contract me? Check out my ‘Artwork Vectorizing Services‘ page to start. This will explain the process a little bit and start to set your expectations on cost and time.
